Ubuntu 24.04.4 server no gui | Display Issue on Display with less than 1980X720 resolution

While installing ubuntu server 24.04 yung setup screen is may issue sa monitor ko. Luma na kasi yung gamit kong monitor at mababa yung resolution parang 1366X768 lang. Ang issue is yung display ng Ubuntu Server while nag setup eh hindi madisplay ng buo sa screen naka setup sya ng 1980x720 while yung monitor resolution ay 1366X768 lang. Since yes/no continue lang naman at naka ilang ulit na din akong nag setup ng ubuntu server nakapa ko naman yung mga kailangan iselect at pindutin kaya nairaos ko yung setup. 

Once natapos yung setup nag google ako ng mga paraan paano sya maayos at ito yung gumana para sa akin.  

Eto yung spec nung "CPU" na ginamit ko.

Once na edit na yung file save lang then execute lang itong command na ito tapos reboot

Drivers License Renewal | LTO Satellite Office SM Tungko SJDM | 2026

After five years need na ulit mag renew ng lisensya. Madami ulit nabago sa sistema. Isa-isahin natin yung mga ginawa ko. 

1. Kailangan meron kang working account sa LTO Portal, na-access mo at may access ka rin sa email address na ginamit mo sa pag create ng account sa LTO Portal.

2. Yung LTO Portal access ay kailangan para maka pag take ka ng "Comprehensive Driver’s Education" requirement na ito ngayon.

3. Magamit mo din yung access mo para makapag review ka or makapag take ng practice exam.

Yung practice exam mag take ka lang kahit mga limang beses malaki na ang tsansa mo na maipasa yung exam.

4. Requirements : 

   

     a. Pumunta muna ako sa clinic na accredited nila meron naman dun katabi lang ng opisina nila. Nagbayad ako ng P600, Eye test lang naman ginawa and kuha ng weight, height, etc. Once makuha medical result diretso na sa LTO Office.

    

    b.  Sabi sa mga nabasa ko at pati na din sa guide ng LTO online need na magtake ng exam tapos print yung results. Pero nung andun nako sa LTO Office pinag-login pa din ako sa Portal sa phone ko at pinag take ng test, tapos sa last question (#25) select mo lang yung sagot pero yung taga LTO ang mag press  ng SEND once pasado fill up ng form then biometrics (Picture, Thumbmarks), tapos wait lang na ma print yung ID.

Ang total gastos ko ay P600 sa medical, tapos P685 sa LTO (license + change address). Mga 1.5 hours din inabot. 

Flex ko nalang din, wala akong violations kaya 10 year valid yung bago kong lisensya. Malaking bagay din.

My First Job Interview after being laid off

Quick post. 

After ma layoff gusto ko sana munang magpahinga ng at least siguro mga isang taon bago maghanap ulit ng trabaho. Magpahinga, mag-aral ng mga bagong technology (mostly AI related), also doing some project based work. Then several days ago may nag message sakin sa linkedin for a job opening. Out of curiosity nag reply ako and told her that I am interested. So tumawag for initial interview background check etc. then dumating na pinakamahalagang point ng interview "expected salary". So sinabi ko yung expected salary ko na base sa aking previous base salary plus computed na din yung mga additional bonuses. I am not expecting na magulat sya but she told me na mataas daw yun for the position. 

I've been with my previous company for 8+years and every year may salary increase ako base sa performance evaluation, not sure if that salary increase is the cause for her to say na mataas yung expected salary ko or mababa lang talaga yung offer nila. 

Anyways para hindi nalang masayang yung oras namin, sinabi ko nalang na if lower than my expectation might as well give the other applicants the chance, and I also thank her for considering me and for the interview.

What is it for me, at least may idea ako sa salary range ng skills set ko, siguro I'll try accept other offers and go to several interviews just to get a better feel of the current salary situation.

newsflash rss reader opens link on other browser not the default browser

I am trying newsflash on my pop_os 24.04. One issue that I encountered immediately is that it opens the link on firefox while my set default browser is brave. Did a quick consultation with gemini and the following workaround fix the issue.

add the following lines on 

~/.config/mimeapps.list

x-scheme-handler/http=com.brave.Browser.desktop

x-scheme-handler/https=com.brave.Browser.desktop

text/html=com.brave.Browser.desktop

 

run the following command

update-desktop-database ~/.local/share/applications

and viola the links are now opening on my default browser (brave).
